War, Inc. was in my online renting queue because I forgot to remove it in time. The sad thing is that it was to air in HD on the movie channel this month. Ho, well! Since it was at my mail box, I reviewed anyway.

What is War, Inc.?

In the near future where corporation run countries, a man is hired to kill an enemy of the corporation but have to deal with a starlet and a nosy journalist at the same time.

The movie review

My expectation of War, Inc. was moderate but the story did picked my curiosity thus the reason it was in my rent queue in the first place. Sometimes, I have to clear my renting queue because, like I mentioned above, the movie is now showing on the premium movie channel.

It's a political satirical view of the future but it's not science fiction with lasers or things like that. The story is taking place in war torn made up middle east country. Most of the big effects are with tanks, helicopters and blowing up things but it's not the main part of the movie. The story centers more around the hit man and his mission and his relation with the starlet and journalist.

The only star that I remembered was that John Cusack was in it. I also must admit that I did not recognized Hillary Duff since her role was very different from her other teen movies. I waited for the end credit to end to make sure it was her.

It's was mildly funny because of the allusion to current affairs so I liked it.

War, Inc. (Blu-Ray) was encoded in VC1 and last 1h47. This Blu-Ray release has: 0 commentary, 0 Featurettes and trailers(HD/SD). That's right, only the movie.

Now you understand why I should had remove it from my list.

Cast: John Cusack, Hilary Duff, Marisa Tomei, Joan Cusack, Dan Aykroyd, Ben Kinsley
