The movie review
When I first saw Crank, I was expecting just an action movie. What I got was an funny action movie especially in 2 mature scenes. I won't spoiled it for you just in case you did not see it. The movie was done in HD and not film. Most shots were done for real and not using a green screen(CGI). Jason Statham and Amy Smart did many of their own stunts. It was Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor first major movie.
Cranks was encoded in MPG2 and last 1h28. This Blu-Ray release has: 1 video commentary(Crank'd Out Movie Mode), Crank the family friendly version, 9 featurettes(HD) and trailers(HD).
When I saw it was a Lionsgate Blu-Ray, I told myself: "Great another cheap straight to Blu-Ray from the DVD". I was pleasantly surprise that the extras were also in HD. Even in MPG2, the quality was great since it was recent and shot in HD. Older movies done by them were disappointing. Bravo on that one.

Conclusion
Crank is a buy since it's in full HD edition(extras). That's if you like action movie like Crank. Otherwise, it's a strong rent.
