Is it my last year that I watch a new show on TV
With the recent news that ABC will have 9 new series, I started to think on how many would last more than 3-4 episodes. Don't forget that Traveler and last mid-season Day Break, The Nine were made by them and those, I liked. I still which the actors to break a leg.
It may be the last year that I invest my time with any networks. If a new show do get a full season, I may rent the Blu-Ray boxset IF they get a second season. I may watch it live if the buzz around it is very strong like it was with Heroes.
Some channels are not good with their new shows and drop them too much fast. Are you listening ABC and Fox!
For this season(2007-08), I will give them one last chance to regain my trust. I will be fair and gave them a chance.

Past two seasons were so frustrating–seemed several shows I found entertaining and engaging would start moving around, I’d miss episodes, then they’d be on hiatus, finally to be dropped–kerplop.
I fell for Traveler this summer–couldn’t wait for the next episode! Will ABC carry it forward? It was good, it was nicely subversive–and I liked the characters.
I also really began to like the NYC X Degrees (How many degrees of separation was it? so many folks in NYC, of varying ages interconnected) and, again, kerplop, after getting the disrspectful scheduling messing around. Sheesh.
Anyway, I do like Traveler–would love to see it continue.
And, good idea: ignore the new shows until they prove themselves to the network bosses (doesn’t seem to matter all that much how well audiences like them) and come out on DVD. Several people I know do that already.
Way to go, broadcast networks.

Sorry in not replying sooner(was sick).
I too like Traveler but I don’t want it to be like Jericho(CBS) that ends with a cliffhanger and it’s not renewed. At least, CBS changed it’s mind for a few more shows.
If we start to all do this then production companies would by pass the networks. I would like see to a Pilot web sites where viewers decide if they would watch or not.
Still, they should take a queue from USA channel and do what they did with 4400. A few episodes to test the water in Season 1 with a more a season the next year.
